Car hire

Geirangerfjorden and the surrounding area offer majestic, snow-covered mountain tops, foaming waterfalls, lush green pastures and a deep blue fjord. A trip by car can also be combined with cycling parts of the way in order to enjoy a totally unique experience. Hiring a car gives your the freedom and opportunity to decide when and where you want to stop. Geiranger Fjordservice AS is the agent for Hertz Car Hire.

Nordic Walking

Try Nordic walking! Nordic walking involves walking with poles at a steady speed but you still get good exercise. We can tailor-make a walk for you at whatever level you choose, from a gentle walk to real training. The world-famous marathon runner Ingrid Kristiansen has been to Geiranger to select the routes we use when we take you out walking.

We will give you a simple introduction to the technique and a taste of local history as we go.

Mountain Top Walks

Join us on a trip to the top of a mountain in the summer! We arrange all-day trips with a local guide. The walking trips are at a steady speed but can be adapted to the fitness level of the particular group. Our destination is either Vinsåshornet or Laushornet. Wear clothing suitable for wind and bad weather. Wear good walking boots, and take plenty of food and drink

Join us in the mountains and experience an overwhelming view of Geirangerfjorden and the surrounding mountains.

Dalsnibba

Take the Nibbevegen road from Djupvasshytta, at 1038 metres above sea level, to the lookout point at Dalsnibba at about 1500 metres. Here you will get an unforgettable view of the wild, snow-covered mountains, laced with fresh air and the whole UNESCO World Heritage Site - all in one go.

Dalsnibba is one of the biggest attractions in the area. The peak was visited by some 180,000 people in 2009.

RIB

Experience Geirangefjorden at close quarters at full speed with plenty of spray!

This trip takes you out into Geirangerfjorden and back so that you can see and enjoy all the attractions on the way. We take you past the Dei sju systrene, Friaren and Bruresløret waterfalls and the abandoned farms of Skageflå, Knivsflå, Blomberg and Matvik, which bear witness to the lives of the fjord folk in days gone by.
